Live trains in Finland
Drop a pin anywhere in Finland and watch every train within 0.5 to 80 km of it, from the commuter trains around Helsinki to the InterCity and Pendolino trains to Tampere, Oulu and Vaasa. Sky Hub Cloud Train Radar shows what's running around your pin right now, on your TV, desktop or tablet.

What you see on the map
- Trains from Fintraffic's GPS positions, each drawn as an arrow pointing where it is heading
- Zoom in and the arrow becomes the whole train, drawn along the track
- Colours for each kind of train, explained in the legend, with track machines and other service trains labelled as such
- Click a train and its route is drawn on the map

What the train card shows
- The type of train, its length, top speed and traction, for example Sr2 locomotive with 5 cars, 152 m, or Sm3 Pendolino
- Every coach in order with its number (as on your ticket) and class, Eko or Ekstra, plus the restaurant car
- Where each coach stops on the platform, with the track and sector
- What is on board: restaurant car, wheelchair space, pet space, playground car
- For the commuter trains, the line, the unit number and every trip the unit has run today
- Every station with its time, platform and delay, including the points it only passes through
- Times in Finnish local time
How positions work in Finland
Fintraffic publishes the GPS position of every train, so the train on the map is where the train really is, updated every few seconds. Times, tracks, delays and the make-up of the train come from Fintraffic's open rail data at digitraffic.fi.
Where the data comes from

Beyond a journey planner
- Your own pin and radius, from 0.5 km at a platform to 80 km across a region
- TRAIN LOG: statistics for your spot, CSV download and a weekly report
- The same plan includes Fly Radar and Ship Radar with Coast Explorer, so the Helsinki coast also shows ships and the planes over it
Good places to drop a pin
- Helsinki: the busiest station in the country, with commuter, InterCity and Pendolino trains
- Pasila: where almost every train in and out of Helsinki passes
- Tampere: the crossroads of the lines to the north and west
- Turku: the trains along the south-west coast to Helsinki
- Oulu: the north, on the long lines towards Lapland
