Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Sky Hub Cloud ("we", "us") collects through skyhubcloud.com, why, who else sees it, and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can. We never sell your data.

Who is responsible for your data

Sky Hub Cloud is an independent, UK-based project run privately by its founder, not yet registered as a company (see our About page). Sky Hub Cloud is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact: office@skyhubcloud.com.

What data we collect

Account. Your email and a password hash, never the password itself. Demo accounts are the same, for 60 minutes of access.

Your pin. The location you set for Fly Radar, Ship Radar, Train Radar and Coast Explorer (coordinates and the place name you give), your range and your settings. For most people this is near home, so we treat it as personal data.

Payments. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your card number. We keep what the invoice needs: name, email, billing address if you give one, plan, dates and amounts.

Support. Messages you send us in the portal or by email.

Coast Explorer reports and ratings. When you report a change or rate a place in Coast Explorer, we store it with your account. We never show who made a report. If you delete your account, your reports and ratings stay without any link to you.

Devices. Which browsers or devices are signed in to your account, so we can apply the device limit of your plan.

Feeder requests. Email, city or region, station type and notes, plus the aircraft data your station sends.

News. Your email, if you ask us for product news.

Security logs. IP address and time of sign-ins (including failed ones), sign-ups and form submissions, and for some forms your browser type. We use them to stop abuse and automated sign-ups.

Who else sees data

Stripe processes card payments under its own privacy policy.

Map and code providers. When you open a page with a map, your browser loads map tiles, code libraries and images directly from OpenStreetMap and OpenSeaMap (map tiles), Cloudflare cdnjs (code libraries) and The Space Devs (rocket launch images). Like any website you visit, they see your IP address and the request. They do not receive your email or account details.

Live data services. To fill your radars, our server sends the coordinates of your pin, never your name or email, to data services such as Open-Meteo (weather, marine and air quality), ADS-B aircraft data providers and AIS vessel data providers, and to OpenStreetMap Nominatim when you search for a place name.

We do not sell or rent data, and we do not use advertising or analytics services. Our emails are sent from our own mail server.

Cookies

Public pages set no cookies. When you sign in to the portal or the admin area, we set one strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

Why we use it

To provide your account, your radars and your plan (contract). To take payment and keep invoices (contract and legal obligation). To keep the service and accounts safe (legitimate interests). To send product news you asked for (consent; you can stop it at any time).

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while the account exists. A paused or expired account is kept, not deleted, until you ask us to delete it. Invoices are kept as long as UK law requires. News emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Security logs are kept to protect the service; you can ask us about entries linked to you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, get a copy, and withdraw consent. Email office@skyhubcloud.com. Invoice records cannot be deleted before the legal period ends. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

When what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
